Where is Bamboo made?
Bamboo is assembled in dedicated specialist factories in China, using carefully selected components sourced internationally.
The factory we use also manufactures rice cookers for several well-established premium brands, including Cuckoo, Cuchen, Panasonic and Tiger. This gives us access to experienced manufacturing facilities with extensive knowledge of producing high-quality rice-cooking appliances.
International Components
Although Bamboo is assembled in China, not every component necessarily originates from China.
We source selected components and materials internationally, including parts from:
Japan
South Korea
Germany
Other specialist manufacturing locations where appropriate
This approach is common throughout the modern appliance industry. It is now relatively unusual for a sophisticated electronic appliance to have every component manufactured and assembled in the same country.
For example, specialist components such as electronic displays, control systems, heating components and inner bowls may be manufactured in different countries before being brought together for final assembly.
Quality Control & Manufacturing Standards
The factories we work with operate comprehensive quality control and manufacturing procedures, and we have had our manufacturing arrangements independently inspected.
We don't simply select a factory and leave the manufacturing process to them. Yum Asia works closely with its manufacturing partners to specify materials, components, construction, performance requirements and quality standards, with the finished product subjected to extensive testing before being supplied to customers.
Our focus is on the quality and performance of the finished appliance, rather than simply where it is assembled.

Bamboo models supplied to different markets are also manufactured and supplied to meet the relevant regional requirements.
