What is super kernel basmati rice?
Super Kernel is an exceptional variety of Basmati rice, prized for its impressive grain length, distinctive aroma, excellent texture and superb taste.
Developed through years of agricultural research and cultivation in the Punjab region, Super Kernel is renowned for producing exceptionally long, slender grains when cooked.
Grown in Northern Pakistan
Our Super Kernel Basmati is cultivated in northern Pakistan, where the rice benefits from the region's fertile growing conditions and water supplied by the Himalayan river system.
The carefully selected grains undergo rigorous quality control before being prepared for export. The rice is then naturally aged, a traditional process that helps develop its characteristic aroma, texture and cooking performance.
Exceptionally Long Grains
One of the defining characteristics of Super Kernel is its remarkable grain length.
Our Super Kernel has an average uncooked grain length of approximately 8.30mm. During cooking, the grains can elongate to around twice their original length, producing the long, elegant grains that Basmati is famous for.
The cooking process also produces a firm, light and relatively non-sticky texture, making Super Kernel particularly well suited to dishes where you want beautifully separated grains.
Why Super Kernel?
Super Kernel is prized for its combination of:
Exceptional grain length
Beautiful elongation when cooked
Distinctive natural Basmati aroma
Excellent texture
Delicate yet delicious flavour
Long, separate grains with minimal stickiness
This makes it an outstanding choice for curries, biryani, pilau, Persian and Middle Eastern dishes, as well as for anyone who simply prefers long, separate grains of rice.
