What is an E2 error?

If your Yum Asia rice cooker displays an E2 error code, this usually indicates a problem with the lid sensor.

The most common causes are:

  • Moisture or water has entered the lid sensor area, which can interfere with the sensor's operation.

  • The lid sensor may have developed a fault and require inspection or replacement.

What Should I Do If I See E2?

If your rice cooker is displaying an E2 error, please do not attempt to dismantle or repair the rice cooker yourself.

Instead, contact Yum Asia customer support and provide as much information as possible so that we can help diagnose the issue.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Your name and email address

  • The model of rice cooker you have

  • A detailed description of what happened

  • When the E2 error first appeared

  • Whether the cooker had recently been cleaned or exposed to water or moisture

  • A photo or video of the error, if possible

Our support team will assess the information and advise you on the appropriate next steps.

Important: If the E2 error appeared after the lid or rice cooker was cleaned, please allow the affected area to dry completely before attempting further use. Do not pour water directly onto or into the lid, control panel or sensor areas.

If the error persists after the cooker has been allowed to dry, please contact us for further assistance.
