My rice cooker is stuck on keep warm or cooking and won't turn off. What do I do?

All of our rice cookers have a memory function designed to help protect the cooking programme in the event of a temporary power interruption.

If the rice cooker is unplugged during cooking or while the Keep Warm function is active without first pressing CANCEL, the cooker may retain the previous operating status. This can sometimes cause the cooker to behave unexpectedly when power is restored or when it is plugged in again.

In most cases, the issue can be resolved by simply:

  • Pressing the CANCEL button, or

  • Pressing and holding the CANCEL button for several seconds to fully reset the cooker.

Once the cooker has been reset, it should return to normal operation.

If this does not resolve the issue, please contact us for further assistance and we will be happy to help troubleshoot the problem.
