What is the maximum capacity for brown rice in Hotaru?

Hotaru can cook a maximum of 2 cups of uncooked brown rice.

Although Hotaru has a 3-cup maximum capacity for uncooked white rice, the maximum recommended quantity of brown rice is lower due to the special design and geometry of its inner cooking bowl.

Brown rice also behaves differently during cooking, as it absorbs water differently and expands more than white rice. The reduced capacity provides the necessary space for the rice to absorb water and expand properly during the cooking cycle.
