What add-on functions are there on Bamboo and are they any good?

Bamboo is much more than a rice cooker. While cooking great-tasting rice is its primary purpose, we have carefully selected a range of additional multicooking functions based on customer feedback and our many years of experience developing and selling rice cookers.

We don't simply add functions for the sake of making the specification list longer. Each function has been selected because it works particularly well with Bamboo's Induction Heating (IH), advanced fuzzy logic and closed, multi-phase cooking system.

Bamboo's Add-On Functions

Bamboo includes the following additional cooking functions:

  • PORRIDGE – for both rice and oat porridge

  • STEAM – for vegetables, fish, meat, dumplings and much more

  • SLOW COOK – ideal for soups, casseroles, stews and slow-cooked meats

  • CRUST – for creating Persian-style Tahdig rice with a delicious crispy crust

  • CAKE BAKING – for baking cakes and desserts within the controlled cooking environment

Extensively Tested

We have extensively tested each of these functions to ensure they work well with Bamboo's particular cooking technology.

The enclosed cooking chamber helps retain heat and moisture, while the IH heating system provides precise temperature control. This makes Bamboo particularly versatile for preparing a wide range of dishes.

Depending on the function selected, you can use Bamboo to prepare:

  • Soups

  • Casseroles

  • Stews

  • Whole joints of meat

  • Cakes and desserts

  • Steamed vegetables

  • Fish and seafood

  • Dumplings

  • Porridge

  • Persian-style Tahdig

  • And much more

One Cooker, Many Possibilities

The additional functions are designed to complement Bamboo's core role as a premium rice cooker. We only include functions that we have tested and found to work well with the appliance's cooking technology.

So whether you're making everyday rice, slow-cooked meals, a freshly baked cake or crispy Tahdig, Bamboo gives you considerably more versatility than a conventional rice cooker.
