How long can I keep Fuji on ‘keep warm’?
Fuji has a convenient 24-hour Keep Warm cycle, allowing you to cook a larger batch of rice and keep it available at a suitable serving temperature for longer.
This is particularly useful when everyone in the household doesn't eat at the same time. Rather than having to cook separate batches of rice, you can prepare one batch and Fuji will automatically maintain it at a warm serving temperature.
Keep Warm Count-Up Display
Fuji also includes a handy count-up timer on the display, allowing you to see how long the rice has been kept warm.
This makes it easy to keep track of how long your rice has been sitting in the cooker and helps you manage the quality of the rice.
Rice May Dry Over Time
Although Fuji's Keep Warm function is designed to maintain the rice at a safe serving temperature, rice can gradually become drier the longer it remains on Keep Warm.
You may notice the rice becoming somewhat dry after around 8 hours. This is primarily because the cooker needs to maintain the rice at a sufficiently high temperature, which can gradually cause moisture to evaporate.
If you need to keep the rice warm for longer, you can help maintain its texture by:
Adding a small amount of water to the rice periodically
Gently stirring the rice to distribute the moisture
Keeping the lid closed as much as possible to minimise moisture loss
The amount of water required will depend on how much rice you have and how dry it has become, so add only a small amount at a time.
Fuji's 24-hour Keep Warm function gives you the convenience of having cooked rice ready when you need it, while the count-up display lets you easily monitor how long it has been kept warm.
