The Story Behind Fuji's Development
Following the successful launch of our Sakura rice cooker, we didn't simply stop there. We spent many years continuing to research, develop and refine new rice cookers, with the aim of creating models that would appeal to people who genuinely love Asian food and great-tasting rice.
For us, the starting point has always been the same: a rice cooker must produce excellent rice first and foremost. Additional functions and attractive design are important, but they should never come at the expense of the quality of the rice.
Designed With Purpose
When we developed Fuji, we wanted it to combine excellent rice cooking performance, attractive design, ease of use and dependable reliability in a compact package.
We paid close attention to every aspect of the product, from the internal cooking technology and control system through to the exterior materials and overall user experience.

Our aim was to create a rice cooker that offered excellent value without compromising on the quality or performance expected from a premium appliance.
Extensively Tested by Yum Asia
We have also extensively tested Fuji ourselves, including preparing different varieties and quantities of rice to assess its cooking performance, texture and flavour.
As part of our development and evaluation process, we conducted blind taste tests with members of the Yum Asia team. This allowed us to judge the finished rice on its own merits rather than being influenced by the appearance or branding of the cooker.
The result was extremely positive: we found that Fuji consistently produces rice with excellent flavour, texture and overall eating quality.
