How does Bamboo compare to other rice cooker brands?

After the success of our Sakura rice cooker, we spent many months researching, developing and refining another premium rice cooker specifically for people who love Asian food, with one fundamental principle at its heart: cooking great-tasting rice.

We wanted Bamboo to be much more than a cooker with an impressive list of specifications. It had to perform exceptionally well, look fantastic and provide the reliability and quality our customers expect from a premium rice cooker.

Designed With Attention to Detail

From the very beginning, we approached Bamboo as a complete product rather than simply another appliance.

Every element was carefully considered, including:

Our aim was to create a rice cooker that not only produced excellent rice, but also looked at home in a modern kitchen and offered outstanding value for money.

Experienced Specialist Manufacturing

We carefully selected the factory responsible for manufacturing Bamboo. The facility also manufactures rice cookers for well-known premium brands such as Cuckoo, Cuchen and Tiger.

This gives us access to an experienced manufacturing environment with extensive knowledge of sophisticated rice-cooking technology and appliance production.

However, Bamboo isn't simply an off-the-shelf cooker. Yum Asia specifies the design, features, materials and performance requirements, and we work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure the finished product meets our standards.

Extensively Tested by Yum Asia

Before Bamboo reached our customers, we extensively tested the cooker and its cooking programmes.

We didn't just rely on technical specifications to judge the results. We also carried out blind taste tests with members of the Yum Asia team, comparing the rice produced by Bamboo without the testers knowing which cooker had produced each sample.

The result was unanimous: we found Bamboo produced rice with excellent flavour, texture and overall eating quality.

For us, this is ultimately what matters most.

A rice cooker can have advanced technology, an attractive design and a long list of functions, but its most important job is still to cook exceptional rice.
