How close can Fuji be to an induction hob?

Because Fuji is an Induction Heating (IH) rice cooker, it uses an internal magnetic induction coil to generate heat directly within its inner cooking bowl.

Induction hobs operate using the same basic principle, also generating magnetic fields through induction coils. For this reason, Fuji should not be positioned too close to an induction hob, as the two appliances can potentially interfere with one another.

Maintain a Minimum Distance of 80cm

It is important to keep Fuji at least 80cm away from any induction hob.

This minimum distance applies both when Fuji is being used and when it is being stored.

Avoid placing Fuji:

  • Directly beside an induction hob

  • Immediately above or below an induction hob

  • Within 80cm of an induction hob when stored

  • Within 80cm of an induction hob during operation

Why Is the Distance Important?

Both appliances use induction coils and magnetic fields as part of their operation. If they are positioned too close together, there is a risk that the magnetic fields may interfere with the electronics or induction systems of either appliance.

This could potentially cause:

  • Fuji to malfunction

  • The induction hob to malfunction

  • Interference with the operation of either appliance

  • In extreme circumstances, damage to one or both appliances

For this reason, we strongly recommend maintaining the 80cm minimum separation distance at all times.

A Simple Rule to Remember

Keep Fuji at least 80cm away from any induction hob — whether Fuji is being used or simply stored nearby.

This simple precaution helps minimise the risk of interference and ensures that both your Fuji rice cooker and induction hob can operate safely and correctly.
