To wake Hotaru from standby mode, simply:

The display will come back on and Hotaru will return to its normal operating state.

So, if the display appears to have turned off and the light around the POWER ON/OFF button is gently pulsating, there is no need to worry – Hotaru has simply entered its automatic low-power standby mode.
