Does Fuji have a timer?
Yes! Fuji has a convenient preset timer feature that can be set for up to 24 hours in advance.
This means you can set Fuji in advance so that your rice, porridge or other suitable programme is ready when you need it. It's particularly useful when you want to come home from work to freshly cooked rice or wake up to a warm breakfast on a cold winter morning.
How Does the Preset Timer Work?
An important point to remember is that Fuji's preset timer is set according to how many hours from now you want the cooking programme to be completed.
You are not setting the time when you want the cooker to start cooking.
Fuji calculates when it needs to begin the cooking process so that the selected programme finishes at the time you have specified.
Example
Let's say it is 9:00am and you want your white rice to be ready at 1:00pm.
There are 4 hours between 9:00am and 1:00pm, so you would set the preset timer to:
4 hours
Fuji will then manage the cooking cycle automatically so that the rice is completed and ready to eat at approximately 1:00pm.
Up to 24 Hours in Advance
The preset timer can be set for up to 24 hours, giving you plenty of flexibility when planning meals.
You can prepare your rice and water in advance, select the appropriate cooking programme and set the timer for when you want the cooking cycle to be completed.
In short: set the number of hours until you want your food to be ready — not the time you want cooking to begin.
