Does Bamboo have a timer?

Yes! Bamboo has a convenient preset timer function that can be set for up to 24 hours in advance.

This allows you to plan your cooking around your day, so you can have freshly cooked rice ready when you arrive home from work, or have warm porridge waiting for you on a cold winter morning.

How the Preset Timer Works

The Bamboo preset timer is set according to how many hours from now you want the cooking programme to finish.

It is important to remember that you are not setting the time at which cooking should begin. Instead, you enter the number of hours until you want the selected programme to be completed.

Example

Imagine it is 9:00am and you want your white rice to be ready at 1:00pm.

There are 4 hours between 9:00am and 1:00pm, so you would:

  1. Select the WHITE rice programme.

  2. Set the preset timer to 4 hours.

  3. Start the timer.

Bamboo will then manage the cooking cycle automatically so that the rice is completed and ready at approximately 1:00pm.

Up to 24 Hours in Advance

With a 24-hour preset timer, you have plenty of flexibility to plan meals around your schedule.

You can prepare your rice, select the appropriate cooking programme and set the timer so that the food is ready when you need it.

The Bamboo preset timer is designed to make meal preparation more convenient, giving you freshly cooked rice without having to be present to start the cooking cycle.
