Where is Sakura made?
Sakura is manufactured and assembled in dedicated specialist factories in China that also produce rice cookers for a number of highly regarded premium brands, including Cuckoo, Cuchen, Panasonic and Tiger.
We selected our manufacturing partners carefully based on their specialist experience, technical capabilities and expertise in producing advanced rice cooking appliances.
International Components
Although Sakura is assembled in China, not every component is manufactured in China.
Some of the components used in our products are sourced from Japan, South Korea and Germany, drawing on specialist manufacturing expertise from different parts of the world.
This type of international supply chain is standard practice for modern electrical appliances. It is relatively unusual nowadays for a sophisticated appliance to have every component manufactured and the finished product assembled in the same country.
Instead, manufacturers commonly source specialist components internationally before bringing them together for final assembly. Components such as electronic displays, inner bowls and other specialist parts can therefore originate from different countries while the finished appliance is assembled elsewhere.
Consequently, "assembled in China" does not mean that every component in Sakura is manufactured in China.
Comprehensive Quality Control
Our manufacturing facility operates comprehensive quality-control and manufacturing procedures to ensure that Sakura is produced to the standards we specify.
We don't simply rely on the factory's own internal processes. The manufacturing and quality-control procedures have also been independently inspected, providing additional oversight of the systems used to manufacture our appliances.
Quality control is considered throughout the production process, including component inspection, assembly, manufacturing procedures and finished-product checks.
Our objective is to ensure that every Sakura leaving the factory delivers the quality, reliability and performance expected from a premium Yum Asia rice cooker.
Regional Safety and Quality Assurance
Sakura is supplied into different international markets, and the appropriate models are produced and supplied to meet the relevant requirements for their intended region.
