Where is Panda made?
Panda is manufactured and assembled in dedicated specialist factories in China that also produce rice cookers for a number of highly regarded premium brands, including Cuckoo, Cuchen, Panasonic and Tiger.
We carefully selected the manufacturing facilities used for Panda because of their experience, technical capabilities and established expertise in producing sophisticated rice cooking appliances.
International Components
Although Panda is assembled in China, it is not made entirely from Chinese components.
Modern electrical appliances are typically produced using an international supply chain, with specialist components sourced from countries that have particular expertise in their manufacture. Some of the components used in our products come from Japan, South Korea and Germany.
For example, components such as electronic displays, specialist heating components and inner bowls can be sourced from different countries before being brought together during final assembly.
It is actually relatively unusual nowadays for a sophisticated appliance to have every component manufactured and the complete product assembled in the same country. Most major manufacturers operate international supply chains and assemble their products in locations such as China while sourcing specialist components from around the world.
Therefore, "assembled in China" does not mean that every component is manufactured in China.
High Standards of Manufacturing
Our manufacturing facilities operate comprehensive quality-control and manufacturing procedures designed to ensure that Panda meets the standards we specify.
We don't simply rely on the manufacturer's own quality-control processes. The factory's procedures have also been independently inspected, providing additional assurance that the manufacturing and quality systems are operating to the required standards.
Quality is considered throughout the manufacturing process, including component inspection, assembly, production controls and finished-product testing.
Our objective is straightforward: to ensure that every Panda leaving the factory provides the quality, reliability and performance expected from a premium Yum Asia rice cooker.
Regional Quality Assurance
Panda is supplied into different international markets, so the relevant models are manufactured and supplied to meet the applicable requirements for their intended region.
