Where are Yum Asia rice cookers made?

Yum Asia is a British company specialising in high-quality rice cookers and kitchen appliances. We began selling our rice cookers in the UK and EU in 2016 and expanded into the US market in 2020.

We are committed to being transparent about where and how our products are manufactured. We maintain close oversight of our manufacturing process, which gives us a high level of control over quality, engineering, materials and production standards.

All Yum Asia rice cookers are assembled in a factory in China that operates to high international ISO standards. We have personally visited and inspected the factory where our rice cookers are manufactured and maintain a close relationship with the production team. The same factory is also used by a number of other established international appliance brands, including Cuckoo, Tiger, Panasonic, Philips and Instant Pot, to manufacture some of their appliances.

While our products are assembled in China, the components and technologies used in our rice cookers come from a range of countries renowned for their expertise in particular areas of engineering and manufacturing. For example, our control panels use Korean components, our inner-bowl coatings and induction coils are sourced from Japan, and some of the thermopolymer materials used in our products are manufactured in Germany.

This international approach allows us to select components based on their performance, reliability and suitability rather than simply their country of origin. We have deliberately built our supply chain around specialist manufacturers with proven expertise in their respective fields.

Quality control is extremely important to us. Our engineering and manufacturing standards are deliberately high, and our close involvement in the design, component selection and production process helps us maintain consistently low fault rates.

Ultimately, we believe that the quality of a product is determined by the engineering, materials, design, quality control and oversight behind it—not simply by the country in which it is assembled. Our focus is therefore on selecting the best components, working with experienced manufacturing partners and maintaining rigorous standards throughout the entire production process.
