What is the Panda inner bowl made from?

Through our many years of selling and supporting Zojirushi rice cookers, we noticed that the vast majority of rice cookers available in the UK, Europe and USA used Teflon or similar non-stick coatings on their inner cooking bowls.

We received many questions and comments from customers about the materials used in rice cooker bowls. When developing our own rice cookers, we therefore decided to take a different approach and create an inner bowl that combined excellent cooking performance, durability and a ceramic cooking surface.

A Premium 2mm Ceramic Coating

The result is our Ninja inner bowl, which features a premium, durable 2mm-thick ceramic coating.

We chose a substantial ceramic coating because the inner bowl is one of the most important components of a rice cooker. It is directly involved in transferring heat to the food and needs to withstand the demands of regular everyday cooking.

The Ninja bowl is designed to provide a hard-wearing cooking surface while offering an alternative to the traditional PTFE-style non-stick coatings commonly found in rice cookers.

BPA, PTFE & PFAS Free

The Ninja inner bowl is made without:

This makes the Ninja bowl an excellent choice for customers specifically looking for a ceramic-coated inner bowl rather than a conventional Teflon-style non-stick surface.

Honeycomb Heat-Dispersing Structure

The Ninja bowl isn't simply a ceramic coating applied to a conventional bowl.

It also incorporates a special honeycomb structure, designed to help disperse heat more evenly across the surface of the bowl.

Even heat distribution is particularly important when cooking rice, as it helps the cooking system maintain more consistent conditions throughout the bowl and contributes to evenly cooked rice and other dishes.

Durable, Easy-to-Read Measurement Markings

We also paid attention to the details that make the bowl easier to use every day.

The rice and water measurement lines are silk printed rather than simply stamped, helping them remain durable while also making them clear and easy to read.

They are designed to remain visible even in lower-light conditions, making it easier to measure your rice and water accurately.

The Ninja bowl came directly from listening to our customers and considering what they wanted from a modern rice cooker.
