What is silk printing on the inner bowls?
What is the print made of? The water level lines and text on the inside of your bowl are applied using a specialized technique known as 'silk print'. We want to reassure you that this is a completely safe, 100% food-grade material. It is a highly trusted, industry-standard method used by us, as well as by other premium rice cooker manufacturers such as Zojirushi, Cuckoo, Panasonic, and Tiger.
Why might the print wear off? The silk print is designed to be durable and withstand daily cooking temperatures. However, it can begin to fade or rub off if the inside of the bowl is scrubbed too vigorously or washed with abrasive cleaning tools over a long period of time.
How to properly care for your bowl: To protect both the silk print and the bowl's inner coating, always follow the gentle cleaning instructions outlined in your user manual. Simply wipe the inside of the bowl clean with a soft, damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge and warm, soapy water.
By sticking to gentle hand-washing and avoiding harsh scrubbing pads, the print on your bowl will remain completely intact and undamaged for years of daily use!
