What is Sakura by Yum Asia?
Sakura was the first premium Yum Asia rice cooker we launched in the UK, back in 2015. It quickly became a favourite with our customers, but we didn't simply leave it as it was.
Since its launch, we have continued to develop, refine and improve Sakura, working extensively with the cooking technology and features to make an already successful rice cooker even better.
Sakura represents years of development and our experience of understanding what customers actually want from a premium rice cooker. By combining Japanese-inspired rice-cooking technology, our own in-house calibrated Advanced Fuzzy Logic cooking programmes and carefully selected materials, we created a cooker that stands out from the crowd.

The Ninja Ceramic Inner Bowl
Sakura features our Ninja inner bowl, incorporating a substantial 2mm-thick ceramic coating designed to provide a durable cooking surface.
The Ninja bowl is BPA and PTFE free and has durable, easy-to-read silk-printed rice measurement markings, making it easier to measure the correct amount of water for your rice.
The bowl also features stay-cool handles, making it easier and safer to lift the bowl in and out of the cooker and carry it when required.
Stainless Steel Inner Lid
We also chose a high-quality stainless steel inner lid, rather than aluminium, as part of our focus on using carefully selected materials throughout the cooker.
Even the smaller details have been considered.
For example, the supplied rice spatula incorporates a small supporting wedge, allowing it to rest on a worktop while keeping the food-contact surface raised away from the surface.
It's a small feature, but it demonstrates the level of attention we put into the design of Sakura.
