The plastic on the front of Kumo looks like it is peeling off. Is it broken?

If the control panel on your Kumo rice cooker looks unusual, appears cloudy, has reflections, or seems to have a slightly hazy or uneven appearance, it is very likely that the clear protective film has not yet been removed.

Please Check for the Protective Film

During production, Kumo's control panel is covered with a thin, clear protective plastic film.

This film is applied to protect the control panel during:

• Manufacturing

• Assembly

• Packaging

• Transportation

• Delivery to your home

It helps prevent the display and control-panel surface from being scratched or marked before the rice cooker reaches you, ensuring that the panel arrives looking as pristine as possible.

Before using Kumo, please check the control panel carefully and remove this protective film if it is still in place.

The film can be very clear and may initially be difficult to notice, so it is easy to mistake it for part of the actual control panel.

Don't Worry – It's Not a Fault

If you notice what looks like a film or slightly unusual surface on a brand-new Kumo, this is normally just the factory-applied protective layer and is not a defect with the control panel.

Once the protective film has been removed, the control panel should have its intended clear appearance.
