I removed the rubber / silicone gasket from my Kumo

No. The silicone/rubber seal on the inner lid is not designed to be removed and should remain attached to the inner lid during cleaning.

Our cleaning instructions in the manual do not instruct you to remove the seal. This is important because the seal is factory-fitted to the inner lid by machine and is not designed to be detached and reinstalled by hand.

Once removed, there is no manual method for reliably reattaching the seal to its original position and specification. Attempting to do so could result in the seal not sitting correctly, which may affect the appliance's performance or sealing.

For cleaning, simply clean the inner lid and the seal while they remain assembled. Use the cleaning method recommended in your particular model's instruction manual and avoid attempting to pull, peel or otherwise remove the silicone seal.

If the seal has already been removed accidentally, please contact us before attempting to refit it yourself, as it may require replacement of the relevant component.
