How is the Kotori inner bowl heated?
Kotori uses a conventional heating element positioned at the bottom of the unit, but it is far more advanced than a basic conventional rice cooker.
We have combined a higher-powered heating element, which we call POWER HEAT technology, with 3D heating technology to create a more powerful and evenly distributed cooking environment.
What Is POWER HEAT Technology?
Kotori's heating element is higher powered than is usual for a rice cooker of this compact size.
We developed this as our POWER HEAT system to give Kotori the additional heating capability needed to deliver strong, consistent cooking performance despite its small footprint.
The increased heating power works together with Kotori's 3D heating design rather than simply concentrating more heat underneath the bowl.
How Does Kotori's 3D Heating Work?
The heating element at the base of Kotori generates the primary cooking heat. This heat is then dispersed around the inner bowl through a reflective coating on the inside of the cooking chamber.
At the same time, heat is also generated from the lid and directed downwards into the inner bowl.
This means that heat reaches the cooking bowl from multiple directions:
POWER HEAT from below → heat dispersed around the bowl → heat from above
This combination helps create a more evenly heated environment throughout the cooking chamber.
More Even Cooking
Heat distribution is particularly important when cooking rice. A conventional rice cooker that concentrates heat solely underneath the bowl can create a greater temperature difference between the bottom and upper portions of the cooking area.
Kotori's 3D heating system is designed to distribute heat more evenly around the bowl, helping rice and other foods cook more consistently.
This is beneficial not only for rice but also for Kotori's additional cooking functions, including porridge, steaming and slow cooking.
