How does Kumo cook the rice, is it boiled?
No. Kumo does not simply boil the rice.
Kumo is an Advanced Fuzzy Logic rice cooker designed to intelligently control the cooking process through 7 distinct cooking phases. Rather than simply heating the rice and water until the water boils away, Kumo adjusts the temperature and cooking process at different stages to help produce consistently excellent rice.
Kumo's 7 Cooking Phases
The cooking process progresses through the following stages:
Preheat – gently warms the rice and water to begin the cooking process.
Absorb Water – allows the rice to gradually absorb water before the main cooking stage.
Heating – increases the temperature in preparation for boiling.
Boiling – brings the contents to the required cooking temperature.
Braising – continues cooking under carefully controlled heat to develop the rice's texture and flavour.
Absorb Water – allows the remaining moisture to be absorbed into the rice.
Keep Warm – once cooking is complete, Kumo automatically switches to its Keep Warm stage.
Why Does Kumo Use Multiple Phases?
