Does Sakura have a timer?
Yes! Sakura has a convenient preset timer function that can be set for up to 24 hours in advance.
This makes Sakura particularly useful for busy households and anyone who wants their food ready at a specific time. You can set it in the morning so that freshly cooked rice is ready when you arrive home from work, or prepare the timer before bed so that warm porridge is ready for breakfast on a cold winter morning.
How Does the Sakura Preset Timer Work?
There is one important thing to remember when using Sakura's preset timer:
You set the timer for when you want the cooking function to FINISH – not when you want cooking to START.
Sakura then calculates when it needs to begin cooking so that your selected food is completed at the time you have specified.
Example: Rice Ready at 1pm
Imagine it is 9:00am and you want your white rice to be cooked and ready to eat at 1:00pm.
There are 4 hours between 9:00am and 1:00pm.
You would therefore:
9:00am → Select WHITE RICE → Set the preset timer to 4 hours → Start
Sakura will then automatically calculate when to begin the cooking process so that the rice is finished and ready at 1:00pm.
You don't need to calculate the cooking start time yourself – Sakura does this for you.
Convenient Cooking Around Your Schedule
The 24-hour preset timer is particularly useful when you want to fit cooking around your daily routine.
For example:
Morning: Set Sakura so rice is ready when you return from work.
Before bed: Set the timer so porridge is ready for breakfast.
Busy days: Have rice or another suitable meal prepared for a specific mealtime.
Remember: It's a "Ready By" Timer
The easiest way to think about Sakura's preset timer is:
Tell Sakura when you want your food to be ready, and Sakura works out when it needs to start cooking.
So if it is 9:00am and you want your rice ready at 1:00pm, simply set the timer for 4 hours.
Up to 24 hours in advance – set Sakura and have your food ready when you need it.
