Can I remove the silicone seal on the inner lid of a Tsuki rice cooker?

The silicone seal on the Tsuki rice cooker is factory-fixed to the stainless steel inner lid. This is an intentional part of the design and ensures that the seal remains correctly positioned during cooking.

Neither the inner lid nor the silicone seal should be removed.

In particular, do not attempt to detach the silicone seal from the stainless steel inner lid. The seal is not designed to be removed by the user, and attempting to do so could damage the seal, the inner lid or the rice cooker itself.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do not remove or detach the silicone seal from the inner lid. Doing so may permanently damage your rice cooker.

Cleaning the Tsuki inner lid is deliberately simple.

You do not need to remove the inner lid or silicone seal. After cooking, simply wipe the surface of the inner lid and seal with a damp paper towel or soft cloth to remove any condensation, food residue or moisture.

For routine cleaning:

  1. Allow the rice cooker and inner lid to cool after use.

  2. Use a damp paper towel or soft cloth to wipe the stainless steel inner lid and silicone seal.

  3. Ensure the surfaces are clean and free from any food residue.

  4. Allow the lid and seal to dry before the next use.

Do not pull, peel or pry the silicone seal away from the inner lid.

The fixed design means that Tsuki's inner lid and seal can be kept clean and hygienic without dismantling them, making routine maintenance quick and straightforward.
