Does Oyu require a short period of ‘bedding in’?
Oyu has a very special type of heating element and you may find that it takes a week of use to properly ‘bed in’ and reach the correct temperatures.
If your boiling water doesn’t seem hot enough when you first receive your Oyu, it’s not a fault, this is the reason and with more use the water temperature will become hotter.
Please note also that the first pour of the day may be slightly cooler than expected. This is due to water in the Oyu system that was already there (post heating element) from previously dispensed liquid.
